Better price than contractor offered for the shower headBought a new house and needed a hand-held to help clean the shower and my puppy but didn't want to lose the rain shower head. This fits the bill for style. I didn't want to pay a plumber to do it and installation was very easy for this single lady. I needed channel locks to loosen the existing shower head but after that don't use any tools (it will damage the finish and isn't necessary). I removed the water regulator (this voids the warranty btw) and am happy with the water pressure.Pro- tips:* The water regulator is the blue plastic piece in the part that attaches to the main pipe. First, take out the gasket (you'll need it). YouTube shows people removing the regulator with needle nose pliers. I did that and it just broke the bracket pieces. It was easy to poke a hole in the center then I was stuck. I ended up using a wine opener to get it out - insert the corkscrew just under the blue piece and work it out (like you would a cork).* I used plumber tape but it doesn't need to be wrapped all the way up the threds. The shower head will only go a little way then you have exposed plumber tape.It’s hard to believe that someone would be excited about a shower head and I guess I’m not truly excited but definitely happy with it.I like to use it with both the inner and outer parts spraying. What I have found is that I can have the lever that sets the spray to inner/outer/both can be manipulated in between to get a more preferred balance between the inner/outer spray intensity. This has made it essentially perfect to me. Only the inner is too concentrated. Only the outer is too light/dispersed. I think the combination setting of both is a little too light on the center spray. So just moving the lever a little to one side gets that balance just right for me. Goldilocks situation!After dealing with several junky off-brand shower heads, I decided to spend more money and opt for a good name brand, like Delta. Unfortunately, I'm still disappointed!Even after removing all of the water savers, this shower head lacks the pressure that I so desire from the old-school shower heads. I have no shortage of water under my feet, so why should I have to deal with only a slight trickle coming from the shower head????The fact that the aux handle is integrated into the main shower head is a nice feature, especially when considering the space savings in a smaller shower. That being said, the water inlet is located in the center of the fixture, so it doesn't sit very high in the shower. As an average-height man, I find myself having to bend over to get under the shower head and rinse my head, which is pretty annoying.The most annoying part is that this shower head doesn't drain well at all once you turn the water off. I'm guessing it forms some sort of vacuum that lets go over time, because you'll hear water dripping from the shower head on occasion, even days after taking a shower. I have verified that this isn't my shower valve as when I remove the shower head, no water drips from the shower pipe.Overall, it gets the job done so I gave it 3 stars, but I'm definitely not happy with it and would not purchase it again. Pretty disappointed in the quality considering this is a Delta product....my previous shower head was strong and this one is wimpy for the money I was expecting something stronger. But installation is easy and it clamps back up quite easily once you are done using the removable shower head.Not tremendous warmer flow. I actually carefully poked holes in both the shower head filter and the wand filter which did increase pressure.This shower faucet put our shower over the top! Easy to install!
